Shweshwe fabric is used in traditional South African clothing. These fabrics are known for their look, feel and sound and are intrinsic to the culture of South Africa. Nelson Mandela popularised Shweshwe by wearing shirts largely made from the fabric even bringing out his own range of clothing called the “Madiba Range”.
